The Singapore Green Label category for Pipes establishes grading criteria for pipes and fittings for industrial and residential use based on environmental, performance and health parameters. They can be located indoors, outdoors or underground. The materials covered under this category are as follows:

1. Plastics such as PVC (Polyvinyl Chloride), chlorinated PVC and unplasticised PVC
2. Metals such as copper, alloys such as stainless steel and brass
3. Synthetic coating on the internal or external surface of the pipes for improved performance

The Standard includes relevant criteria across the product life cycle from raw material extraction through manufacturing, distribution, use, and end-of-life management. It excludes pipes and fittings made of cement, lead, PEX, HDPE, fibreglass, ABS and polybutylene.
